Kabul blast and Pakistani defense minister’s claims of cross-border attacks

News sources have reported two explosions in parts of Kabul, the capital of the country.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, confirmed the occurrence of one of these explosions and stated: “The sound of an explosion was heard in Kabul, but there is no need to worry and it is all good and well.”

He added that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and that there have been no reports of casualties or damage so far.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani army claimed responsibility for the attack on Kabul.

On the other and, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif made controversial statements claiming that former Prime Minister Imran Khan had brought and settled thousands of Taliban fighters to Pakistan.

Criticizing the policies of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in negotiating with terrorist groups, he said: “The blood of our army and people has been shed for years, and negotiations with the Afghan government have yielded no results.”

Asif also announced that a delegation from Pakistan would travel to Kabul to send a message that cross-border attacks are intolerable.
