Russia reports encirclement of around 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers in Kharkiv region
Yemeni military expert Hamid Abdul Qader told Sputnik that the encirclement of a large number of Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv region demonstrates the effectiveness of the actions of Russian forces and their ability to establish control over the disputed areas.
The expert added that the encirclement of about 1,700 soldiers could indicate Russia’s attempt to wear down Ukrainian forces and reduce the maneuverability of the country’s military units.
According to Abdulkadir, the lack of effective efforts to break the siege or free the encircled forces could indicate severe pressure on the Ukrainian armed forces.
He concluded by saying that recent developments show that Russia still has the ability to achieve field achievements and influence the realities of war.
