Russia indicts 35 foreign fighters in Kursk attack case

The Russian Investigative Committee announced that 35 foreign fighters have been charged with participating in the invasion of the Kursk region; according to the body, the defendants include citizens of Georgia, the United States, New Zealand, Lithuania, Britain, Ireland and several other countries.

According to the committee’s statement, 711 criminal cases have been opened following these attacks, 706 of which are on charges of terrorist attacks; cases related to damage to 53 cultural heritage sites in the Kursk region are also being investigated.

The Russian Investigative Committee has stated that 640 civilians were killed and 561 others were injured during these attacks; the financial losses from these attacks are also estimated at more than 504 billion rubles.
