Elon Musk announced that his company Neuralink plans to test a vision-restoring chip on humans within the next six to 12 months, a chip that transmits images directly to the brain and, he said, could even help those who are born blind.
Musk also claimed that this technology will enable superhuman vision in the future, including the ability to see infrared and ultraviolet light.
However, no valid clinical evidence has been published to prove these capabilities.
