Mexican authorities have arrested Alfonso Fernandez Magallon, known as “Poncho,” the leader of the local Los Reyes cartel, a man for whom the United States had offered a $5 million reward.
Poncho faces charges including kidnapping, production and drug trafficking.
Following this arrest, members of the Los Reyes cartel in the state of Michoacan rioted, setting a number of vehicles on fire and blocking several roads.
