The Israeli regime is seeking to establish three new settlements in the Gaza Strip
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has announced that the plan to establish three Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip has been finalized and has asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz to approve it.
According to Zionist media reports, Smotrich had previously emphasized the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and southern Lebanon, ignoring international warnings about the expansion of settlements.
In response, Mahmoud Mardavi, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, called on the Palestinians to resist Israeli settlement plans, which he said are aimed at seizing Palestinian lands and controlling strategic areas.
The new settlement plan comes at a time when the Israeli regime’s plan to build thousands of new housing units in West Bank settlements was previously announced.
