German Chancellor Supports Deportation of Criminal Afghan Migrants
Friedrich Mertz supported the process of deporting Afghan citizens who have committed crimes during the German government’s question-and-answer session.
German media reported that Mertz announced in the Bundestag on Wednesday (25th of June ) that he fully supports the country’s Interior Minister’s efforts to repatriate Afghan men who have committed crimes.
He emphasized that this action does not mean recognition or political interaction with the current Afghan government, but rather cooperation is being carried out at a technical level and within the framework of Germany’s national interests.
Mertz also clarified that this cooperation does not mean normalizing relations with the current Afghan government, and that diplomatic relations are established between governments, not between governments.
