The arrival of the days of Ashura, 1448 AH, Muslims around the world are mourning the death of the Master of Martyrs (AS)

As the tenth month of Muharram approaches in the year 1448 AH, Muslims and Shiites in Afghanistan and around the world hold religious ceremonies to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his loyal companions. Ashura is considered one of the most important Islamic occasions, recalling the eternal epic of Karbala and the fight against oppression, injustice, and tyranny.

During these days, mosques, Hussainiyyas, and religious centers witness the holding of mourning ceremonies, religious speeches, recitation of elegy, and distribution of vows, and people express their devotion to the family of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) by attending these ceremonies in large numbers.

Religious scholars emphasize that the message of Ashura is one of sacrifice, freedom, seeking justice, and defending human values, and that Muslims should draw inspiration from the movement of Imam Hussein (AS) to strengthen unity, empathy, and the pursuit of justice.
