Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian arrived in Islamabad at the head of a high-ranking delegation and met with Shahbaz Sharif upon arrival.
According to reports, the plane carrying the Iranian president was escorted by six Pakistani army fighter jets upon entering Pakistan.
Mr. Pezhikian also met and talked with Asim Munir.
During these meetings, the two sides exchanged views on the latest regional developments, bilateral relations, and ways to expand strategic cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad.
