Reports suggest Xi Jinping may visit North Korea
South Korean intelligence officials have announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to visit Pyongyang next week.
Yonhap News Agency reported that the Chinese foreign minister visited North Korea last month to review security details and preparations for the trip.
According to Seoul intelligence reports, the trip will coincide with the 65th anniversary of the China-North Korea Cooperation Treaty.
Previously, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had announced his desire to expand relations and cooperation with China to a higher level.
