US removes all remaining enriched uranium from Venezuela

The US National Nuclear Security Administration, part of the US Department of Energy, has announced that it has removed all remaining enriched uranium from Venezuela.

US officials have said that 13.5 kilograms of highly enriched uranium was removed from an old research reactor in Venezuela and transported to the United States via land and sea routes.

According to Washington, these materials are among the materials that can be used to make nuclear weapons.

This operation was carried out in cooperation with the United States, Britain, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Venezuela.

The United States has emphasized that this action is important for reducing the risk of nuclear terrorism and strengthening global security.

According to officials, this uranium has been transferred to the Savannah River Center in the United States for processing and reuse.
