Afghan and Iranian officials meet on judicial cooperation and prisoner transfer
The Afghan Embassy in Tehran has announced that Fazal Mohammad Haqqani, the head of the embassy, met with Askar Jalalian, the deputy head of human rights and international affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Justice, and discussed expanding judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries.
Based on this declaration, the two sides have held comprehensive discussions on strengthening legal relations, judicial coordination, and resolving issues related to citizens of the two countries.
The meeting also discussed the start of the second round of transfer of Afghan prisoners from Iran to Afghanistan.
Officials have emphasized that this process can play an important role in improving the situation of prisoners and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
