According to Pakistani media reports, Masoud Peshkeshian received an honorary doctorate in cardiac surgery from a specialized medical institution in the country during his official visit to Pakistan.
This honorary document was awarded to the Iranian President during a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Palace in Pakistan.
Reports indicate that this recognition was made in recognition of the doctors’ scientific background and medical activities in the field of heart surgery.
Pezizkian, who worked in the field of heart medicine and surgery for many years before entering politics, also met with senior Pakistani officials during his official visit to Islamabad and discussed expanding bilateral cooperation.
