The progress of the first and second phases of the Wakhan Corridor has reached 60 and 74 percent

The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs has announced that the first phase of the Wakhan Corridor in Badakhshan Province has been completed by 60 percent and the second phase by 74 percent.

According to the information provided, the first phase of this project extends from Gonbad Badakhshan to the Chinese border and from the Brughil border to the Gonbad area.

The length of the second phase is 71.13 kilometers and is being implemented with a budget of 143 million Afghanis.

The length of the first phase is also mentioned as 50.49 kilometers and its budget is 180 million Afghanis.

Officials have said that both phases are scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 1405 AH.
