Erdogan: Gaza ceasefire agreement not being implemented, settler attacks in West Bank have increased

On Friday (November 6, 2026), at the opening ceremony of the 10th TRT World Forum in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of not implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and warned of an increase in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan said that the Gaza peace agreement, which Turkey also played a role in mediating, is not being implemented properly and that settler attacks aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their lands are becoming more widespread every day.

The Turkish President also criticized international institutions responsible for maintaining peace, security, and stability, saying that these institutions are content to watch and express concern about what is happening in Gaza, and are not taking effective action to prevent violations of Palestinian rights.

Erdogan stressed that the international community must act to end this situation and create a more just international system.
