First Russian humanitarian aid shipment arrives in Afghanistan
The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that the country’s first shipment of humanitarian aid, including fortified wheat flour, has arrived in Afghanistan.
This aid is part of Russia’s cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP), and totals approximately 3,977 tons.
According to sources, the handover ceremony was held in Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday (April 23, 2026), during which the first batch of aid was officially handed over to Afghanistan.
