A senior Amnesty International official called for the immediate cancellation of military cooperation with Israel, warning that continuing such cooperation could mean complicity in violations of international law.
Erika Guevara Rosas said that Israel is violating international law by committing “systematic violations” in Gaza and the West Bank.
He added that continuing military cooperation with Israel “increases the risk of complicity in international crimes” and that countries must take practical and decisive measures to stop this process.
The Amnesty International official also called on the Italian government to support the suspension of the EU-Israel cooperation agreement, a move demanded by more than a million European citizens.
He emphasized that merely expressing concern is not enough and countries must take practical steps to end human rights violations.
