Indonesia denies US claims of access to its airspace

Indonesia’s Defense Ministry denied claims that US forces had access to the country’s airspace.

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense issued a statement emphasizing that any defense cooperation with other countries will only be implemented if it is fully in line with Indonesia’s national interests and in accordance with international regulations.

The comments came after reports emerged that the United States was negotiating with Indonesia to grant American military forces access to the country’s skies.
