Approval of the plan to impose tolls on traffic in the Strait of Hormuz by the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament

According to reports, the plan to impose transit fees on ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has been approved by the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran.

This plan involves charging a fee for ships to pass through one of the world’s most important oil ports.

A member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament confirmed this to Fars News Agency and said that the plan will still include a ban on the passage of American and Israeli ships through this waterway.

According to the report, countries that have participated in imposing unilateral sanctions against Iran are also prohibited from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Oman will also cooperate in structuring the legal regime of this project.
