British nuclear submarine enters Arabian Sea, ready to fire missiles at Iran

Military sources reported that the nuclear submarine HMS Anson (MS) equipped with 1,000-mile-range Tomahawk cruise missiles and Spearfish torpedoes has entered the waters of the northern Arabian Sea and is likely stationed in the area.

This submarine is capable of carrying out long-range precision strikes against land and sea targets, and its presence near the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz sends a clear message of Britain’s readiness for direct military intervention.

Defense sources told the media that General Nick Perry, head of overseas missions at the UK’s Permanent Joint Staff, could order the firing of missiles at targets in Iran if he receives permission from the prime minister.

The deployment came after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer bowed to US pressure and agreed to the US using British bases to attack targets in Iran. Previously, this use was limited to defensive operations, but now its scope has been expanded, citing the principle of “collective defense.

Starmer’s decision sparked a massive protest rally of thousands in London; the protesters strongly opposed the US and Israeli aggression against Iran and Britain’s participation in the war, and chanted slogans against Starmer’s government.

These developments are occurring at a time when tensions in the Persian Gulf region have reached their peak, and Britain has effectively sided with the United States and the Zionist regime by directly entering the waters near Iran with its nuclear submarine.
