Iran warns US as Washington attacks its territory
In response to the cancellation of oil export exemptions and the recent US attacks, Iran has warned of the consequences of these measures and announced that it will “take decisive measures” to protect its security and national interests.
In a message on the X social network, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi called the US actions a violation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and accused Washington of repeatedly violating the agreement.
At the same time, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that in its latest round of attacks, it targeted more than 80 targets in Iran, including air defense systems, command centers, coastal radars, anti-ship missile capabilities, and dozens of fast boats affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The US claims that these attacks were carried out in response to attacks on three commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, a claim that Iran has not yet confirmed or denied.
