The Saudi-led military coalition responded to the Yemeni armed forces’ decision to impose a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia.
A spokesman for the Saudi coalition forces announced that the coalition would protect its commercial ships in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, but did not comment on the reasons for Yemen’s announcement of this action.
This reaction came after Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, issued an official statement on Monday announcing the start of a complete naval blockade against Saudi Arabia based on the equation of “blockade against blockade,” and emphasized that this decision had been implemented since the statement was issued.
The Yemeni armed forces have announced that they have taken this action in response to the continued blockade of Yemen by Saudi Arabia.
