UNAMA: Pakistani attacks in Afghanistan from February 26 to March 1 killed 34 civilians and injured 89
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, quoted the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) as saying that from February 26 to March 1, 2026, attacks by Pakistani military forces on Afghan soil resulted in the martyrdom of 34 civilians and the injury of 89 others.
He added that these border clashes have severely affected Afghan returnees from Pakistan, and aid agencies are unable to deliver humanitarian aid to these people due to insecurity.
Dujarric also warned that there is a possibility of an increase in the number of Afghan returnees from Iran to Afghanistan in the near future, which could put further pressure on the humanitarian situation in the country.
