Tesla unveils redesigned Roadster with SpaceX-developed technology
Tesla unveiled a redesigned version of its electric sports car, the Roadster, in Texas, on October 15. The company said the car, using assistive systems developed by SpaceX, demonstrated its ability to perform stunts, including taking off, spinning in the air, and landing.
Tesla has announced that production of the car is scheduled for 2028; according to the announced specifications, the new Roadster can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than a second, reach speeds of over 230 mph, and travel more than 300 miles on a single charge.
However, the company’s announced specifications and demonstration capabilities of this car must be distinguished from the performance of its final production version.
