High-resolution satellite images released by the China National Satellite Data Center (CNSAS) show that the Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, one of the most important US military bases in the region, has been completely destroyed.
In these images, which were taken hours after the Iranian missile attacks, fighter hangars, radars, fuel and ammunition depots, the control tower, and the main command sections of the base have been extensively destroyed.
A large portion of the runway and support facilities have also been destroyed, and extensive smoke and fire are visible in several areas of the base.
Initial analysis by experts indicates that multiple precision ballistic missiles (likely from the Fatah or Khyber Shekan families) with direct hits caused this level of destruction.
This base, which hosted 18 F/A-135KC fighters and support units of the US Fifth Fleet, played a key role in US air operations in the Persian Gulf.
