The first commercial satellite made in the UAE was sent into orbit under the leadership of Hamdullah Mohib
OrbitWorks, a company managed by Hamdullah Mohib, former Afghan National Security Advisor, has announced that it has successfully launched the Abu Dhabi-made Altair-1 satellite into Earth orbit using SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
“Altayir-1 is the first satellite in a series of 10 satellites equipped with artificial intelligence that will be used for Earth observation and surveillance. Nine more satellites in the series are scheduled to be launched into space by 2027.”
Hamdullah Mohib said that Orbit Works was just an idea two years ago, and now the satellite built in Abu Dhabi is in orbit.
