6 million refugee children will miss out on education by 2025

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has warned that a lack of international funding is hampering access to education for millions of refugee children around the world.

According to the organization’s report, out of 13.1 million refugee children of school age, about 44 percent, equivalent to nearly 6 million children, were out of education in 2025.

The United Nations has emphasized that the continued lack of financial resources could further limit refugee children’s access to education and put their educational future at risk.
