Former US President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has criticized his father’s role in the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, calling it a “clear failure.”
In an interview with the Shawn Ryan Show podcast yesterday, Hunter Biden stated that the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan was correct in principle, but the way it was implemented was incorrect and costly.
He emphasized that the killing of 13 US Marines in the attack on Kabul Airport in August 2021 indicated a serious failure in the management and planning of the withdrawal.
The withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan in 2021 is considered one of the main weaknesses of Joe Biden’s record and has been repeatedly criticized by Republicans and even some Democrats.
