Trump: Crimea will not return and Ukraine will not join NATO

US President Donald Trump stated in a note on the social network Truth Social that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could quickly end the war with Russia if he wanted to.

Referring to the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014 during the presidency of Barack Obama, Trump emphasized: “Crimea was lost without a single shot being fired.”

It is not possible to return to that era, and Ukraine cannot join NATO; some things never change.

These statements, which have been widely reported in the media, reflect Trump’s position on the continuation of the war in Ukraine and NATO policies.

These remarks come as some sources, including Reuters, have reported that after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Trump emphasized the need for a peace agreement to end the war and described Ukraine as being in a position of military weakness compared to Russia.
