Multinational exercise begins in Georgia with the participation of 12 countries

The multinational military exercise “Agile Spirit 2025” began on Friday under the joint command of the United States and Georgia at the NATO-Georgia training center near Tbilisi, Interfax news agency reported.

This exercise is being held at the “Kritsanisi” military base with the aim of increasing combat readiness, operational synergy, and strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces of the participating countries.

The exercise involves military forces from 12 countries, including Georgia, the United States, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Ukraine.

Another part of these maneuvers began simultaneously in Türkiye on July 21 with a joint US-Turkish parachute operation.

The Georgian Ministry of Defense announced that US armored vehicles and military helicopters have been transferred to Georgia for this exercise.

It is worth noting that last year, the United States refused to hold the “Noble Partner” exercise in Georgia due to what it called Tbilisi’s “deviation from Euro-Atlantic policy.”
