Two American scientists won the Nobel Prize in Medicine

This year’s Nobel Medicine Prize was awarded to Victor Ambrose and Gary Rufkon, two American scientists, for the discovery of microarrays and their vital role in the growth and life of multicellular organisms.

“Their extraordinary discovery has revealed completely new principles of gene regulation, which play a vital role in the life of multicellular organisms, including humans,” the Nobel Prize Committee said in a statement on Monday (8th of October) when announcing the news.

Victor Ambrose is a professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts and Gary Ruffcon is a professor at Harvard University.
