US Vice President Jeddah Vance, echoing Washington’s positions on Iran, claimed that preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons is “the main and fundamental goal of America’s presence in the Middle East.”
Vance claimed that the United States has various tools at its disposal to pressure Iran and threatened that Washington could “cost” Tehran for what he called its efforts to disrupt oil and gas trade.
He also claimed about the Strait of Hormuz that despite the tensions and restrictions created in this waterway, the United States has been able to remove a significant amount of oil and gas from the region. These statements come at a time when recent reports indicate continued disruptions in ship traffic and a decrease in the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
