Britain gives Ukraine information on building Skull missiles; Russia receives North Korean missiles

The British Prime Minister announced during a visit to Kiev that London has authorized the transfer of classified information related to British parts of the long-range Scalp cruise missile to Ukraine.

According to the British Prime Minister’s Office, the defense company MBDA will provide this information to Kiev as part of a joint Ukrainian-French program to set up production and assembly lines for these missiles on Ukrainian soil.

The Scalp missile is the French version of the British Storm Shadow and uses joint technology from the two countries. London and Paris have been providing these long-range missiles to Ukraine since 2023.

At the same time, reports indicate that Russia has received the first shipment of short-range ballistic missiles from North Korea, the KN-30 or Hwasong-11C.

These missiles, with an estimated range of 600 to 900 kilometers, are capable of targeting parts of deep Ukrainian territory from positions inside Russia. This transfer could be a sign of deepening missile cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang and increasing pressure on Ukrainian air defense systems.
