France begins technical talks with Islamic Emirate to repatriate a number of Afghans

The French Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the country has begun technical talks with the Islamic Emirate with the aim of facilitating the return of a number of Afghan citizens.

A spokesman for the ministry said that these talks are about the return of Afghans who are illegally present in France and are considered a threat to national security by the country’s authorities.

According to him, this process does not include women and asylum seekers and its goal is to ensure the security of French citizens.

The French Foreign Ministry spokesman added that Paris, unlike Germany, currently has no plans to receive representatives of the Islamic Emirate, and that talks will continue only at a technical level.
