Forest fires continue in southern Türkiye, hundreds evacuated
Forest fires continue to burn in the provinces of Antalya, Adana and Mersin in Türkiye, and hundreds of residents of vulnerable areas have been evacuated.
In Antalya, 720 residents of the Aksu and Kepez districts were evacuated due to the spread of the fire, and eight people were taken to hospital after smoke inhalation.
It has also been reported that several houses in the Kuzan district of Adana province have been completely destroyed following a fire.
The Turkish Forestry Administration has announced that fires in the Komluca region of Antalya and Bozizeli in Mersin have been largely brought under control.
