Russia announces downing of 426 Ukrainian drones
The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the country’s air defense systems have intercepted and shot down 426 Ukrainian drones between last night and this morning.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, these drones were targeted over a number of Russian regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Kaluga, Tula, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Tambov, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, and Rostov.
Russian authorities have also reported interceptions of drones in the Moscow suburbs, Krasnodar Territory, and the Republic of Crimea.
This claim comes as drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine have increased in recent months, with both sides extensively using drones to attack military and infrastructure targets.
