Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran attempted to assassinate one of his sons, but has not provided further details about the time and place of the incident or which of his sons was targeted.
Netanyahu made the claim as his coalition faces declining support in polls ahead of the October general election; the remarks came after the US and Israel’s military conflict with Iran.
In an interview with the country’s Channel 14 network, the Israeli Prime Minister claimed: “Iran targeted one of my sons and tried to kill him.” However, he did not provide evidence for this claim.
