UNICEF reports major achievements in serving Afghan children

In its 2025 annual report, UNICEF reported significant progress in providing services to children and families across Afghanistan, while also pointing out existing challenges.

According to this report, more than 20 million people, including 5.6 million children, have benefited from primary health care services through UNICEF-supported centers.

Also, about 10 million children and mothers have received vital nutritional services and preventive materials, which has played a significant role in reducing malnutrition and diseases.

In the education sector, 4 million children have access to learning materials through schools, community-based education programs, and emergencies.

UNICEF added that 2.7 million people have also benefited from emergency drinking water, sanitation and hygiene services.

The organization, appreciating the cooperation of partners and donors, emphasized that these achievements would not have been possible without joint support and reflect the resilience of the Afghan people, especially children, in the face of difficulties.
