US Secretary of War dismisses more than 12 senior generals
Fox News reported that US Secretary of War Pete Hegsett has dismissed more than a dozen senior generals in the country’s military, including the commanders of the Navy and Air Force.
The Pentagon confirmed that US Army Chief of Staff Randy George has been removed from his post with one year remaining in his term.
The Washington Post also reported that Pete Hegsett, in addition to Randy George, has also fired four-star General David M. Hodne, the commander of Army Transformation and Training, and William Green Jr., the chief of the US Army’s Chaplaincy.
With these dismissals, the total number of senior military officials who have been dismissed since Pete Hegsett arrived at the Pentagon has reached 12.
