French President Emmanuel Macron announced that a French soldier was killed and three others were wounded this morning, Saturday (18th of April ), during an attack on UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese army also confirmed the incident and said that a number of UNIFIL troops suffered casualties following Israeli forces’ shooting in the Ghandouriya area in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese army added that the necessary investigations are underway to clarify the dimensions of the incident.
