Reuters news agency reported, citing informed sources, that Iran and China are close to a final agreement to purchase CM-302 anti-ship cruise missiles and the deal is on the verge of being signed.
The 302-CM missile is supersonic and has a range of approximately 290 kilometers, capable of flying at very low altitudes and high speeds, features that make it easy for it to bypass ship defense systems.
Military experts emphasize that the entry of these missiles into Iran’s arsenal will significantly increase the offensive power of the country’s navy, and the presence of American ships and its allies in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Arabian Sea will face more serious challenges.
So far, no Iranian or Chinese official has confirmed or denied this report.
