Afghanistan U-19 cricket team beat South Africa by 28 runs

The Afghanistan Under-19 national cricket team defeated the powerful South African team by a margin of 28 runs in the Under-19 One-Day World Cup with a brilliant and calculated performance.

The match took place within the framework of the group stage of the Under-19 World Cup, which is being co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia.

South Africa initially set a challenging target for Afghanistan by scoring 267 runs, but the young Afghan players played coordinated and intelligently to achieve this target in 47 overs and recorded one of their most important and valuable victories in the tournament.

In other matches yesterday, England defeated Pakistan by 37 runs, and Australia defeated Ireland by eight wickets.

Afghanistan will play Twenty20 in their next match on Sunday, January 28, 2026, with the final match scheduled for February 6, 2026.
