Mujahid: Islamic Emirate’s revelations about ISIS nests across the Durand Line have come to fruition
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said that the Islamic Emirate’s previous revelations about the existence of the group’s nests and centers in Pakistani territory have come to fruition today.
Mujahid said in an audio tape that “we clearly publicized this issue and reminded the media of it in press conferences. These were the revelations that we are witnessing the results of today.”
The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate emphasized that the arrest of key ISIS members across the Durand Line proves Afghanistan’s claim that important centers and leaders of the group were present there.
He added, expressing regret, that the presence of these people was abused and that this issue had been raised many times by the Islamic Emirate.
The statement came after Turkish media reported that Mehmet, a Turkish citizen and senior member of the Khorasan branch of ISIS, had been arrested by the Turkish National Intelligence Agency (MIT) in the Afghan-Pakistani border areas.
