Afghan Deputy Minister of Finance meets with Indian investors, pledges to invest in key sectors

Abdul Matin Saeed, Deputy Minister of Customs and Revenue of the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with a number of Indian investors and discussed investment opportunities in the country.

According to the Ministry of Finance’s press release, Mr. Saeed emphasized in this meeting that the Islamic Emirate has provided significant facilities for industrialists and traders, and efforts are continuing to create more facilities.

He added that trade and investment relations between Afghanistan and India are expanding.

Indian investors pledged at the meeting to invest in the production of human and veterinary medicines, the application of modern technology in agriculture and mining, and to hold capacity-building programs for Afghan cadres in related fields.

This visit is a sign of the growing interest of foreign investors in the Afghan market after the establishment of relative stability.
