Fazal Karim, a Turkmen representative of the country’s national weightlifting team, won three valuable bronze medals in the 110 kg super heavyweight category at the 2025 Fajr Cup international competition held in Tehran.
He stood on the third podium, winning the bronze medal, by setting a record of 305 kilograms in the total of two lifts, one snatch and two snatches, in both lifts, one snatch and two snatches, and in the total.
The competition was held in Tehran with the participation of weightlifters from ten countries, including Iran, Iraq, Syria, Armenia, Georgia, and Afghanistan, and Turkmen was the only representative of our country in this event.
The country’s Weightlifting Federation congratulated the people and sports community of the country on this success, considering it a sign of the strong return of Afghan weightlifting to the arena of international competitions.
