Group of Seven meeting in Canada with the aim of maintaining unity in the shadow of tensions with Trump

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) have gathered in Canada to discuss US President Donald Trump’s foreign policies, especially towards Ukraine and the imposition of trade tariffs.

This meeting is held while the growing tensions between the US and its allies have complicated the negotiation process.

The G7 meeting with the presence of foreign ministers of Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, America and representatives of the European Union is going on in La Malbe, Canada.

Kaya Callas, the head of EU foreign policy, warned that if we cannot reach an agreement on the final statement, it will be a sign of internal division in the group, which will not benefit any of the G7 members.
