Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Russian National Defense,” said in remarks after the Eurasian Economic Union summit that Russia will use all means at its disposal to counter aggressors in the event of a threat to its territory or strategic facilities.
Referring to the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, he stated that this issue primarily includes Russia’s tactical nuclear capabilities and their delivery systems.
According to Korotchenko, the Russian arsenal includes advanced systems such as the Iskander-M Tsirkon Oreshnik and Kinzhal, which are capable of carrying tactical nuclear warheads if necessary.
The Russian expert warned that in the event of an attack that Moscow sees as a serious threat to Russia’s national security, the possible response could have very wide-ranging and devastating consequences.
