Blinken was summoned to the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives

According to a Reuters report, the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States has summoned Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken to testify about the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

In a letter to House Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Michael McCall on Tuesday, September 4, he asked Anthony Blinken to appear on September 19 to respond to Washington’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

McCall stressed that Blinken was one of the people who played a prominent role in the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan.

The chairman of the US Foreign Relations Committee has noted that if Blinken does not appear to answer,will face humiliating charges.

Meanwhile, Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the US State Department, said that Mr. Blinken may not be able to make it on the specified date. to appear for testimony.

However, Miller continued to summon Blinken to parliament called the representatives unnecessary and added that he is more than testified 14 times about the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
