UNICEF: 31% of children under the age of two in Gaza are malnourished.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned in a report that 31% of children under two years old in northern Gaza are currently malnourished.

This figure means that one out of every three babies in northern Gaza is struggling with this problem, which is a staggering increase compared to January. In that month, this figure was 15.6 percent.

UNICEF has said in a new report that malnutrition among children in the Gaza Strip is spreading rapidly and is reaching unprecedented levels due to the widespread consequences of the war and the current restrictions on sending aid.

This report states that in recent weeks at least 23 children died due to malnutrition and dehydration north of Gaza have lost their lives.
