The released images show details of the rescue operation of an American pilot who ejected using the plane’s ejection flap after the country’s F-15E fighter jet was shot down over Iran.
According to the pilot, nicknamed “Bravo,” he suffered injuries to his back, arm, and shoulder after ejecting and hitting the ground, and remained hidden in a mountainous area surrounded by rocks for about 48 hours.
According to published reports, a large number of warplanes, drones, and American special forces participated in the rescue operation of these two pilots.
It has also been reported that during the operation, several transport planes and helicopters were destroyed by American forces due to being stuck at an emergency landing site.
Ultimately, both pilots were able to leave Iran alive, and the operation ended without any casualties among American forces, despite heavy equipment damage.
